Children’s Home

About twenty five children and young people between the ages of three and twenty years currently live in the children’s home at Daia. Most of the children were placed into our care by the Children’s Guardianship Authority. Almost all of the children are living together with at least one sibling, many of them have contact with their families, others never or only very seldom.

Many of the children have experienced great hardship carry observable scarring to their personalities; however despite this in time they grow up as happy relaxed children in a ‘big family’ setting. With the help of our support the children can look forward to a secure future and grow up as independent personalities.

Iris Moser the ‘matron’ of the children’s home and her Romanian partner Claudio, as well as eleven employees (some part-time) attend to the needs and wellbeing of the children round the clock.
